Aw you poor lad. Come to South Wales where the women are lovely. Im 43, 3 children, married 22 years and my body is the same size 12 as when I got married and all bits in the right place. Im at the best time of my life so far and got the smile to prove it. Keep looking and try not to steriotype all women in the same category. When you meet a cracker, shes not going to like a cynic.

Hmm well since becoming 35 I take more care over myself diet and clothing wise more than ever, esp now I am single. Maybe its a confidence thing with a woman, perhaps she isnt with the right man? If she is every guy will want her! I have known a lot of guys who never bother with themselves in a relationship, they are worst at letting themselves go, with beards and not changing their underwear, nuff said LOL!

The Daily Mail,eh? Well,I'm 40,and do what I can to make myself attractive. Facials, body scrubs, doing my hair,makeup,etc... And the majority of my friends are the same-we often have Body Shop and Ann Summers parties-hence taking care of ourselves and keeping it sexy. Looks like the Daily Mail got it wrong!

Not all women in Britain allow themselves to go after 30.
i'm 44 and size 8 and 5'2" and take care of myself.
You don't say how old you are, but there's more to women than looks

I think it is the age men and women both find it hard to keep thier youthfullness. Also its an age where people tend not to be as bothered about image as much but more about famiy and careers-the party is over now we aren't in our 20's anymore. But really we should make an effort, especially if your still on the shelf. But at least you know what they look like in the morning. If your lucky you'll find one like my other half. she always looks her best for me.

I am 34 and I make an effort every day - I have had 2 children and I am in good shape. I agree some women let themselves go but not all women. I take alot of pride in my appearance

Bit of a cheek that one. I'm approaching 50, still take great care of my appearance, not for anyone else! for me. I'm told I look a lot younger and according to my son all his mates have the hots for me, their age range is 19 to 21.

I do not know. Maybe you're setting your standards a little too high. What makes you think your so special to go out with someone who isn't "letting themselves go". Pathetic question.
