First, I would ask why WOULDN'T someone want to be in a community? A community is friendships, accountability, family, relationships in general. A Christian community means you have friends to hang out with, pray with, and can hold you up when things get hard. It's pastors that can teach and love you, it's younger Christians you can be a mentor to.

I would probe a bit more and ask why it would be undesirable? There may be root problems like fears (of being hurt, of being rejected, of spiritual abuse, etc.), or anger that would lead a person to reject community.

After God made man, he said "It's NOT GOOD for man to be alone." Right after that, he made a woman so they could be partners. Saying that it's okay not to be close to anyone, it's good to be alone, is like saying God is a liar.

As a follower of Christ, I need to be a part of a Christian community because God commands it in the Bible and because many of His other commands have to do with serving within the church body and learning how to love others (both in the Christian community and in the world). You can't really learn what it means to love others outside of a community.

Yes, I believe that community is an important part of faith. I also believe that all people, not jus Christians, need to be part of a community. God made us to be social animals.

I think we all need to be a part of a community. It is important for our own development to give and receive. Social trust is as important as individual trust. I speak as someone who has a very difficult time doing this.

God created man to have a relationship with God. God also created man with two needs, the need to be loved and the need to be wanted. The way to fulfill these needs is through relationship, having a relationship with God and with each other. The heart of God is perfect love. To have love is to give of your self. We are a community because we give in love to the needs of others, in our eternal family and in the world, as a part of the body of Christ. In the Holy Bible, Jesus says that this is known as loving your neighbor as yourself.

Scripture says so:

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

I'm not sure what you mean by your question, but the New Testament encourages Christians not to forsake the gathering together of saints. We are encouraged, as Christians, to go to church/meet together as Christians, for the purpose of lifting one another up, carrying one another's burdens, encouraging one another, and learning from one another. This is healthy.

I amsure many Bible Student will diagree with me. I am a Christian. I believe devoutly in Gods existance. I believe God created everything. I believe that Jesus died for my sins. I am also a sinner and I believe God firgives me and/as I forgive others and myself. I believe I will be judged . I believe Jesus will return and conquer the devil and his minions. I believe that the Satan exists and see that his power, though greater than mans, is nothing in comparison to God. I do not believe in organized religion, some of the interpretations of Gods word which we call the Bible, or having to be a part of a community. I believe that community is a manipulation of Gods intentions of mans service to God and mankind. Community is organized religions means of controlling the masses that follow the religions seeking Gods word. I believe that organized religions are organizations whose primary intent is greed, control and money.
Find your faith in God. Learn to listen to him. Freely ask of him only that which you truly need. You will find you do not need as much as you want. Again, learn to listen to him, he will answer. Always remember to protect yourself from Satans influence. I have found that repeating the Lords Prayer and Psalm 23 are powerful tools to protect me from satans desire to turn me away from God and protects me when I go to that spiritual place where I am in communication with God.

I do hope you find that for which you are searching. And, that God watches over you in your search

Good Luck.
