You have to be really careful because what happens if you break up? You will still see this guy on a daily basis. I think it depends on how big your work place is, # of employees etc and where you work in relation to this guy. Also is he a direct supervisor or does he have some sort of authority over you. A lot of companies will not allow this and one or both of you could lose your job. If this is the case and things get serious one of you will need to quit your job. This alone can put a lot of pressure on a relationship. So if you go for it anyway be careful and make sure to weigh all of the risks vs benefits beforehand.

I worked at a casino. Out of the two years I worked there I had two boyfriends that worked at the same boat that I did. The first went pretty well, cause we mostly kept out business to ourselves. The only reason why we broke up was because I went to another shift and he concluded that we probably wouldn't be able to see each since he still worked grave and I had switched to days. Oh but when I got to day shift I started talking to this guy that was on days with me. It was a nightmare! He told all of our business to every person that would listen! More people knew about our relationship that I did!

I said all of that to say this: You don't go to work to date. You got to work to WORK. Dating should be done at another venue other than your job because when you date co-workers, no matter how secret you may keep it, people will find out and that is just not something that you need to contend with on your job.

Didn't work out because he talked to co-workers who were also his friends about our relationship. So they ended up hating me. So it made my life a living hell because everyone I worked with thought I was this aweful person because no one ever heard my side of the story. I tried to keep the relationship out of the workplace, and he didn't. I'd recommend not doing it. I regret it alot.

Well, when I was waitressing at Denny's, I started dating the night manager there. We really hit it off and soon became serious and got married (kinda quick but we didn't care). Now we've been together for 4 years already, with a daughter and a baby on the way, and we couldn't ask for more. I think any relationship works if it's really strong.

I met my husband at work, we've been married 3 years. I dont think "where" you meet someone is the key to making or breaking a relationship.

yes I did and when it ended it was weird and I quit the job because I couldnt take it anymore. At my last job I dated a chick and we are going to get married soon so its really depending on you. I like to not date people at work because work is my way out of my problems.
