Mine is long and thick. Also, hard to take care of in hot, humid climate. I've been thinking a lot about one of those piece-y chin length shaggy bobs. But I've heard so much that folks regret a major cut. What about you? Has anyone done this and felt bad after? Or maybe you felt really happy and free... please let me know. thanks!

I cut my long hair and at first I was sad because I was use to having my hair but afterwards I felt like a new person! Donate what you cut to locks of love to feel really good about yourself. It's just hair it will grow back.

I did not. I used to have very long hair, and when I started college I cut it short. I never experienced any regret, because it was so much easier to take care of, more flattering for me and it looks much more professional- I've had short hair ever since (for almost 16 years).
Make sure you have a good hair stylist who can suggest a good hair style for you before you consider a major change. What looks good on somebody else may not look good on you. Many hair places have computers where you can try different styles before you consider a cut, and some of them know how to play around with long hair to create an impression of a bob, so you can give it a test run for couple minutes.
For the record: I love having short hair

I had pretty long hair & I got it cut into a short shaggy bob & it was so cute! It was a little extreme & I was sorta sad after I got my hair cut but after a while I knew how to style it & I got used to it. Every one thought I looked older & it was so much easier to take care of! In the end it was totally worth it! I hope this helps! Good Luck :)

I have long, thick hair. I had cut it short awhile back and it was very shocking at first and I was pretty upset. I think it's just because you are so used to it. I ended up getting used to my shorter hair and liked it. My hair has grown back out long again now and even though I got used to the shorter hair and liked it last time I cut it, I wouldn't do it again! I love my long hair. If you are looking for a change though, you should do it. It will be fun for you and if you don't like it, grow it back out. That is one good thing about hair, nothing is permanent! Good Luck!

The first days you will feel really good and you may feel your head weighs less. After a while you get used to it.
I had really long hair and then cut it chin-lenght; I did not regret it. Make sure you ask opinions of fashionable friends and hairdressers to see if the cut will flatter the shape of your face, clothing style, etc.

I cut my long hair almost completly off (into a boy's cut), mostly because it was a hassle to take care of.
It was kind of shocking at first, and I was a little upset, but after a few weeks it grew on me.
Now I've let it grow out to chin length, and I love it. It looks better and healthier than it did when it was long.
My boyfriend wants me to let it grow out again, but I kind of hate to.
Good luck!

hii, lil Sammy.. i think that when you cut off your hair at the beginning you might think again and again issit the the right choice to do so. This is normal. You will get use to it in no time with your new hairstyles. Furthermore, shorter hair are more trendy now.

I sense sorry approximately it! i glance o.k. with short hair, I felt state-of-the-paintings, yet then I could substitute the way I gown. it incredibly is lots easier to maintain. i don't felt like its me. i might advise to attempt those Jessica Simpson Extension or different wigs it incredibly is presented in short length and attempt it out. Then make certain in case you may get your hair shrink. it incredibly is been 10 months I shrink my hair short to my chin and now. It merely above my breast.
