20 years ago I cheated on the blood test so I wouldn't have to pay child support. I told everyone that her mother was a liar and a whore. Now she shows up and she looks just like me. I'm afraid she'll ruin my reputation. Can I get a court order forbidding her to approach me or my life?

YES you can since you've already prooved she's NOT your daughter by cheating on that test 20 years ago. NOW, you may not realize it, but you have done enough damage to yourself & this child's life. Having your reputation ruined shouldn't be a cause for concern, if people knew the truth about what you did 20 years ago, then YES your reputation will be ruined, but it shouldn't have to be just because you got a kid. I don't think anyone cares about who's kid belongs to whom, but running away from it to avoid child support makes you a COWARD. If you don't have the balls to face your responsibility, then you are NOT a man. If you even get a court order forbidding her to approach you & your life, and that she still believes she can prove you are her father, the court can ask you to re-take the test, although 20 years later, you will be found out & face fines, consequences & especially jail time, not just for lying to the court but for avoiding child support. You shouldn't live your life with LIES because LIES have a way of catching up with you in the long run.

No, MAN up thats your child your missing out on her life. How would you feel if you were her? Every child/women needs a father (positive) in their life. Your reputation should be the last thing you think about ppl make mistakes you still have time to correct yours. And another thing is if you try to get a restraining order you may be held accountable of the child support money you never paid.

Whats wrong with you? That's your daughter. Why do you want to hurt her so?What is more important, your daughter, or your reputation? Let me put it this way. She could ruin your reputation very easy, just buy taking you to court as well. Once it becomes a public record, you her father. you won't be able to deny it. Then what good is a reputation. people would probably think less of you. Think about it. the love of a daughter, or the being to proud to admit you have one.?

I doubt your reputation is very high anyway. What would you tell the courts the reason would be for the restraining order, thats what I am wondering.

i disagree with the previous person who answered i think you should be ashamed of yourself for saying that your reputation is more important than your daughter and her needs. and yes she does need a father figure but it doesnt have to be from you because you are a sad person for not caring for your child and making spreadin false accusation about her mother. youre a lame excuse for a father or jsut a person.. i dont understand why you would post somethign like this if you were hte daugther for one thing okay i wuld understand but you.?? admitting to miss out on ur daughter life and furthermore ban her from ur life completely?? ur just beyond retarded
