We all are living under His mercy as we write.

We deserve His judgement, yet He allows us to continue day by day doing the wildest and most abominable escapades and calling it living. He very well could erase us all, but for His mercy!

I thank Him every day for His mercy, His grace and His favour.

Mercy is not recieving what you actually deserve for your actions. Grace is recieving what you have not earned. Although similar they are not the same. Mercy is a reprieve from the consequence and grace is a gift that you have not earned or deserve. Forgiveness is a result of perfect love. Both grace and mercy begin with forgiveness.

Mercy is great to give and recieve, however, forgiveness is the greatest gift we can ever have, whether we are giving it or recieving it.

A day goes by that some bible thumping moron doesn't report you to Yahoo answers for a frivolous violation. That is truly god's mercy.

God is merciful and doesn't want to punish us, but He is just so He must punish sin. That's why he sent Jesus.

When we get what we don't deserve (forgiveness, love, hope, heaven) that's Mercy.

When we don't get what we deserve (lonliness, death, hell) that's Mercy.

Mercy is withholding a just punishment.

Apparently burning us forever is "just" and so God would be fantastically "merciful" for not doing that?

Boy, this just isn't working is it?
