they are depressed!! I used to and I did feel better afterwards!

Pain causes a release of endorphins in the brain which are natural narcotic-like substances. And perhaps some people like the feeling these endorphins give them.
It's a self-harming behavior similar to drug addiction, except in this case the drugs are naturally made in the brain.

just because someone cuts themself doesn't mean they are looking for attention sometimes people just need a release of energy and thats the only way to them,Making fun of them and calling them wackos isn't something you should do.People don't realize how much words can hurt someone and if we took the time out to realize that people wouldn't do it. But the world isn't perfect.And cutting them selfs is their desicion

There are lots of reasons why someone might do that. It is seen as an unhealthy coping mechanism. People who do it have not developed healthy ways of dealing with strong emotions.

They have their own reason...Sometimes it is called unconcious mind that take control of their body...
And then why should we take a drug if know that it will damages our ownself...
Otherwise it is as a medicine or people get depression..and make a fast path to get rid out of it...whose know?
