I have a large word document in Microsoft word 9.0 saved to cd.?

The document is many months work my present pc operates on the latest version of windows XP and will not open my document.
I cannot afford to lose this work, what can I do to get it onto my present pc?

E-mail me the file and i can open in old format and save then e-mail back to you. shaun.crowther@nov.com

When you use the 'Open' command change the 'Files of Type' and try all the options for 'Word' files. If they don't work try the option 'Recover Text from any file'.
