Im 5'4 and weight 189 pounds and walk 30 min a day.

try sparkspeople.com thats good you walk I eat between 1200-1500 calories I loose about 2 pounds a week

u mean 2-3 kgs a week?
well..the normal calorie intake should be 2300 for girls.. and if you want to loose weight.u should take in atleast 1900 cals.
u're walking too..so yeah, 1900 cals a day is fine but really, i could be wrong.

1 pound of fat is 3,000 calories (give or take). figure out how many calories you need to burn and how many calories you need to cut from your current diet.

for example, say you eat 2000 calories a day and you burn 2000 from normal activity. say you burn 100 calories a day from walking. then it should take your body 1 month to lose 1 pound of fat.

for every 3,500 calories you burn youll lose 1 lb, example: eat 7,000 calories a week you would have to burn 14,000 to lose 2 lbs....go to webmd.com and click on health tools and use their calories burn calculator to see how much calories burns if you walk 30 minutes

he!! my doctor told me not to intake more then 1500 calories a day to lose weight. And Im active.

i think you mean 2-3 lbs....i would suggest you start with 1800 a day and see how you do in a week..but you should lose
