just started laser hair removal treatments. doing my entire body. never had any trouble with shaving in the past but since my 1st treatment about 2 months ago every time i shave i bleed. no cuts or nothing but the actual pores bleed, not only one part of the body but almost everywhere arms legs etc. The laser center says they've never seen or heard about this before they contacted their co.physician and she said the same thing: never heard of it. has anyone been thru the same thing? if yes what is the cauz and how to fix it?should i continue my laser treatment?or if anyone recommend websites or any sort of info its appreciated. thanks much. I'm getting my treatments at American Laser Center

Laser is not electricity so that really, really should not be related. I have been around Laser Hair Removal since 1998 and I have never heard of this happening. One possibility is that laser treatments cause the shaft of the hairs to be "singed" which causes them to be rigid. When you shave, it may be that the razor blade is not cleanly cutting the shaft and it causes the shaft to move below the surface thereby damaging the area and causing bleeding. As an analogy, think of a pine needle hair, not connected to the follicle, vs. a piece of yarn that is subdermally connected to the follicle. If that is the problem, you should just wait for the hair shafts to work themselves out and fall off instead of trying to shave them. That would take a few weeks and then you could shave again. The attached site has a great message board where you could ask additional questions or call 888.517.4187.

Wow, I'm so sorry for you!
I've never heard of this happening. I was considering laser hair removal treatments before I read your story. I sure hope the bleeding stops soon for you. I would go to a physician and request their opinion. But then again this is a relatively new procedure. Information may be difficult to obtain about what might go wrong. I wish you all the luck in the world luv.

You're not supposed to shave after a laser treatment;your body can become sensitive and bleed easily. This hasn't happened to me,but to a friend of mine;the cause is electricity being used on the body.To fix it,let your body heal before you consider shaving. You might want to consider stopping your laser treatment if this problem presists.

im 14, and im doing it, im not sure about the cost, the procedures are, whereever u want to remove the hair, u have to shave it. u cant shave facial hair, because it will grow thicker, darker. and faster. but it takes a long time for the process to fully complete. the hair will still grow but thinner, and slower.
