Is there any easy way to remove an upgrade to a program? For instance, I initially load a program version 6 and a newer version is released. We will call it version 7. I install this upgrade and do not like it. Is there an easy way to revert to the previous installed version short of going back to a restore point, or reinstalling the previous version over the new one? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

With Internet Explorer, you can uninstall version 7 and it will automatically go back to version 6. You uninstall version 7 by going to Start, then Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs, then scrolling to the bottom where you will see Windows Internet Explorer. Uninstall that.

Without knowing the name of the application...

Generally speaking, you can go into your Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and select the version you want to remove and it will revert back to the previous version.

However, sometimes it doesn't revert back and you'll need to reinstall that previous version.

BUT be sure to uninstall the latest version first.
