I don't really think you can, go over the contract you signed... I know it's a lot to read, but who knows, maybe you can get money back?

You need to look at your contract. Most gyms have a membership for a year, some have shorter periods. If you signed the contract you are responsible to pay for that part of the contract no matter what. Some gyms allow you to "sell" your membership, especially if you bought a life time membership etc. You can of course refuse to pay if you are paying by check, or block payment if paying by charge card, but that becomes a problem on your credit history. COntact the gym for their procedure. It may be easier than you think.

You basically have to die to get out of some of those horrible gym contracts. Contact the gym and they will hopefully tell you the procedure to get out of it. A lot of the time, it involves protesting to the mother company via letters expressing your intent to break the contract and your reasons for wanting to do so. Big pain in the butt a lot of the time.

Look at the contract you signed. They may let you, if you pay a penalty fee, but highly unlikely.
Perhaps if you talk to them real nice and explain your situation, they may bend.
Good luck!
