The King James translators added words to 1 John 5:7 in order to give support to the false trinity doctrine. By doing so, they bring dishonor to the one true God, his active force / power and his beloved Son Christ Jesus, for all are totally separate from one another.
1 John 5:7 in NIV reads--" For there are three that testify:
1 John 5:7 in KJV reads--"7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
If the King James translators added their own words to this verse, it makes you wonder just how reliable this version is.
They also replaced the name of God (Jehovah) found at Psalms 83:18 with LORD and GOD which are mere common titles and by doing this, they again bring dishonor to our Creator.

The NIV corrected a lot of flaws in the KJV because we now have much older texts available to compare to than the KJV translators did. There are still some flaws (mainly numeric) in the NIV, this is why translators keep going back every generation, to make sure we have the most accurate to the earliest texts available.

There's a difference between correcting something and making different sources agree to a 't'. If you claim to know what the flaws are and how to correct them, that would make you a prophet.
But there is a simple way to correct the flaws in the NT. As the NT is completely flawed in its inception and conception, simply disposing of it, lock, stock and barrel would do the trick very nicely.

God's Word is forever settled in Heaven. People can add to or take away from His Word but it will never change. He warns against changing His Word.

Langauge is limited. There is no perfect translation. You need to learn ancient hebrew and greek or rely on various versions and commentaries for comparison.

you are mistaken ...there are no flaws.....only in your understanding of God's Word.
Only those books which were inspired by the Holy Spirit of God are included in the Canon.
