If by Jan 31st you have not received your W2, call the employer and ask them if they have been sent. If by Feb 15th you have not received it, call the Internal Revenue Service at 1-800-829-1040 and file a W2 complaint. They wil take a report and send you a form that you can use as a subsitute, you will need your last paycheck stub when you call, along with the name, address and phone# of the employer and what dates you worked for them
If you call the IRS right now they will tell you to call back on the 15th

Give your former employer a call and tell your new address. You might also wait to see if it get forwarded. Many places haven't mailed w2 forms yet.

They are supposed to be sent out by Jan. 31st. Now that is by the employer to the employees. Taxes have to be filed by April 15th if you owe or April 15th to Oct. 15th for a refund.
Good luck.

The law mandates that today, January 31 is the day employers must give the W-2s to their employees.
If you don't get one today, ask your employer or your payroll department to give you another copy.

1/31/2007 is the MAILING date. Don't listen to people that say you have to receive it by today. If you don't get it soon, check with your employer.
