1 John tells us that God is a god of "love" not hate or anger. When God has anger, it is a righteous anger, kind of like you or I being upset when someone slanders us. We have a right to be angry. But the idea of God punishing you for all eternity by burning you is not logical or biblical. Does it make sense to sentence an imperfect man to an eternity of hellfire because he was bad for 70 or 80 years? No, God doesn't work that way. I am not scared of hellfire because that is not a biblical teaching. It is a lie used to scare and control people. If you want to know what the truth about death is, all one must do is read their Bible.

What a stupid concept. Yet, it's one that many Christians believe, although it seems to be falling out of favor lately because everyone wants God to be all fluffy and kind like a giant Care Bear.

"NO, for I KNOW that God does not WANT that for us, but will give that to you if that is what YOU want."

What? Wait a minute. Christians are always saying that it doesn't matter what YOU want because God knows what's best and he isn't going to give you everything you want just because you demand it. Now you're saying that he'll give you whatever kind of afterlife you want just because you demand it? I wish you Christians would make up your minds about the nature of your magic genie. I'm getting confused trying to keep up with you.

I can fathom the concept. I cannot find it in Scripture. The Almighty YHVH created everything good . After sin, man could no longer measure up, and did not have the strength to become better. So YHVH sent His Son the Savior- His name is YHVH is Savior (YAHOSHUA)- to intervene in man's behalf. He offers Himself, and His perfection to anyone who chooses to accept it. If someone chooses not to accept it, they thus choose to remain fastened to their sin, and in the end all sin will be destroyed in the lake of fire which cleanses the world of sin so it can be made new. How could He be more Generous? Churchianity is a pagan system that we are urged to come out of. (It is called Babylon- the mixture of truth and error)

Why don't you like yourself? Why would you choose a God that has so many human character defects? The idea of a supreme being, having such an issue with jealousy.& anger management is rediculous.

No not really. I don't believe in that stuff. Sounds like horrible God. I wouldn't want to believe in a God who is angry. I wouldn't want to become a part of a religion out of fear either.

Spitting hellfire can be useful (camp fires, lighting blunts etc..)

*No, the angry vengful concept of God and his threats of hell fire was invented to control people through fear.

The diety I honr has many names and many faces, many aspects the diety I honr has a male and female side which is equal and does not threaten us wih hell or any punishment as we are al part of her, she resides in us all.*

LMFAO.

No.

The notion that faith in Christ is to be rewarded by an eternity of bliss, while a dependence upon reason, observation and experience merits everlasting pain, is too absurd for refutation
