I dont know what to think?
My boyfriend is 26 hes a 1st LT we have been talking about getting married because he might be getting stationed in Germany! So when we were in Indiana at Christmas with his family he said we will go to the court house if I get the job because I wont go without you. But now it looks like he is going to be getting the job and it stresses me out and scares me cause he will be gone for 2 years. When he told me I stayed strong and I was kidding and I said you cant go without me and he said well you cant go. So I dont know if he is just saying that or if he is going to propose and hes just trying to throw me off. Please help. Let me know what you guys think! Thank you

If you're married, then you would go with him. The military has a limitation of 12 months in a non-hostility zone (which would probably include Germany) for requiring the family members be left behind. If the assignment is over 12 months, you go; if under then you stay behind.

However, if you're not married, then you would not be going. The military wouldn't pay for housing, transportation of your personal goods (or yourself), or any of the other things that would be required for you to be a spouse-resident of a foreign stationed military member.

If he's suddenly changing his mind and using this as an excuse to not marry you, take the hint.

If it's an unaccompanied tour, you CAN'T go. However, most assignments to Germany are accompanied, meaning that if the family members choose they can go along. If you are just his gf, however, you are not entitled to go with him.

I don't think he's trying to ditch you. I think he's just excessively officious. Be patient, and what should be will be when the time is right.

Marry ur bf only if he is taking u with him else it may happen that he will throw u off. If he is not taking u with him be cautious of keeping any physical relationship with him. All the best.
