Should I buy now (almost $400) or wait until March? I wasn't sure if there was a period where the tickets could be cheaper.

It depend on your departure and arrival city, because some fares are always more expensive, no matter what time of year, but usually fares come way down in Feb. and March. Also, if you can fly out of a major airport, you might save money that way. Finally, check out individual airline websites, as they sometimes offer better deals than orbitz, travelocity, etc. Sometimes, travelzoo offers pretty good deals out of major airports, but not always. Enjoy your trip!

There are some major sales right now. check travelocity, or American Air. I think now is a good time!
PS rumor has it that the best day to buy tickets is Wednesday, because airlines work on a Thursday to Thursday cycle, hence the lowest fares are on Wednesday.
