Free will my foot. Is it free will when a child is killed by a murderer? is it free will when they are born in poverty to parents so selfish as to have 20+ kids knowing that they won't be able to care for them? Did those children choose their fates and destiny? Is it free will for a victim of a crime to suffer? The criminal might have 'chose' to do their crimes, so free will can be stated, but was it the victims choice to be affected? Free will is not the answer to this question and never was, and never will be. The truth is that is there IS a God, He is a very cruel God. According to the bible of the Christian faith it is Him who tests and punishes and kills people. He sends plagues into our world, and even let's His people murder others and sac cities, just because it's His will. Ha what a good religion they have, and a good God at that. Why does everyone seems to blame the devil or Satan, whenever something bad happens to them? Satan never killed anyone, never cast plagues upon us, he never even LIED to anyone.
Now, many people will start arguing and criticising me, but if I had the time, i'd point out every single scripture and explain my point, but i'll sum it up in a few words...
Satan told eve if we eat the fruit fro mthe tree, we will be LIKE God. He neve said we would become a god or be God, He said LIKE God, meaning we will have the knowledge that he does. He did not decieve her into thinking she woudln't die, because she DIDN'T die. God told them that if they eat the fruit they will SURELY die, He didn't say they would EVENTUALLY die, like everyone now interprets. These are two different things.
God has been the one who has been casting plagues upon people, and testing them all thruought time, not Satan. Every since the time of Moses, He has been summoning plagues etc to incure His wrath on people. When does it ever say this about Satan? Read most of the books of Moses, and you'll see wht I mean.
Perhaps the bible wants you to beleive that Satan is the reason for evil in the world, but who is the creator of all things? If God didn't create evil, then He is not the creator of all things, and if He didn't create evil he WOULDN'T let it go by. Even before the fall of man there was evil pressent. If God is all-knowing, then he woudl have known that creating humans woudl only get tarnished by evil. Even knowing this, He still created us. If He is all-knowing and knew we would fall, then why did He punish us for disobeying, when He knew beforehand what would happen.
Actually, it says NOWHERE in the bible about God being all-knowing, or omniscient. That is just something people made up to make their God seem more powerful and divine. I think i'm done for now.

Dear Fewa, I ahve been asked multiple times, Why does a good God alow evil? I have to be honest, I do not Know the full and complete answer. The Bible talks about "the mystery of iniquity" (2 Thessalonians 2:7, KJV), and Evil and its destructive nature is most definantly a mystery. I would However like to tell you three facts about sin and evil that may Help you. First of all, sin does not come from God, nor can we blame God for all the evils in the world. The evil of this world, Comes from Satan, and entered the world we live when Adam and eve gave into the devils temptation, and disobeyed God. The Good news is that God has promised to one day deal with sin with all finality, and will completely wipe it of the face of this universe. But God who is full of Longsuffering, is waiting patiently, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentace. If God were to deal collectivly with eveil right now, most of humanity would be destroyed without Hope of escaping the wrath of God.
THE GOOD NEWS.............
The BIble says sin is transgression of the Law (ten Commandments), every time we lie, steal, lust, covet, blaspheme, we have sinned against a Holy God. God is infinately Holy and he will have a day of Justice, he will Judge the wordl in righteoussness and the penalty for sin is death and Hell. The good news is that Christ died on the cross for your sins, you broke the Law and Jesus paid your fine. If you will repent (turn from sin) and trust in Jesus, God will forgive you and grant you the gift of everlasting life.
God Bless'Apostle

1 John 5:19
The world is being controlled by the wicked one. This is why there is so much evil in the world. Why does God let the Devil survive? The Devil challenged God's authority to reign over everything. Soon the Devil will lose and get killed. This may seem confusing, but if you are really interested feel free to e-mail me at cary_tony@yahoo.com.

God allows evil to exist today in order to settle an issue that was raised at the dawn of man. Who has the right to rule? God, or man? The things we see today are a result of this rebellion of man and Satan. But, these things will not be allowed to go on forever. Soon God will restore things to the way He intended for man to live.

Becaue we are the ones who bring evil into th world. God stays the same, it's us wo change things, He made man with a free will because if we had no choice but to be good what honor would tha give God? Do you feel pleased with your camera when it takes a picture? no because that is all it CAN do so it really doesn't merit a reward.

God is so good that He wants us have the freedom to choose.
He allows evil to exist (for now) because when you see the bad, then you appreciate the good.
Also, from a personal perspective, I have learned so much when I have gone through my trials, that I really know how good our Father is, and how peaceful my life will be if I choose His way.
His way, is a good way. Therefore, He is good.

In the beginning God completely sustained His creation without blemish. That’s why it was perfect. He held every atom together in a perfect state. He kept the planets in their orbits. He kept animals from tripping and breaking their necks. He did not allow people to suffer and die.
Deuteronomy 8:4 gives us a little glimpse of how things might have been in the original creation. “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” God is omnipotent and perfectly capable of sustaining and protecting his creation.
When Adam sinned, however, the Lord cursed the universe. In essence there was a change and along with that change God seemingly took away a little bit of his sustaining power and allowed things like suffering and death into His creation. Now He permits bad things to happen—and this is a reminder that sin has consequences and that the world needs a Savior. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”

God took pleasure in all of His creation ("http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=revelation+4:11&version=NKJV"), but He loved people most of all. He allowed the created universe to deteriorate so we would see the consequences of our sin. If we did not see the consequences of our sin, we would never see that we need salvation from our sin, and we would never accept His offer of mercy for our sin. Most people easily recognize that there is a problem in the world. This can be used to show them that there is one who has overcome this problem of death and suffering—Jesus Christ.

I'm not a religous person, but there are several answers to this. Pick one according to your faith.
The atheist/nihlist answer is there isn't any deity.
The pessimistic answer is that if real, it doesn't care.
In polytheism and some forms of monotheistic religion, it stems from negative gods (or demons).
The Christian or otherwise monotheistic answer is that without evil, there would be no way for people to prove themselves as good.
The nastiest answer is that God is doing so to punish/test or perhaps is actually simply callous and cruel.

If you are truly seeking answers, and not just on here to make a stink.... Check out a book by Lee Strobel called The Case For Faith. He too struggled with this question as an athiest. He has chronicled his search and study for us to read. I recommend his books for people of any belief. He is highly educated in the methods of law, so his research is done in that fashion.

all the evil that exists in the world comes from humans. humans have choice on what he or she wants to do and chosing good from evil is part of that. we're not like robots, programmed to go on with our lives. none of us are sinless--the greatness of the sins varies but still, we do all sin. God doesn't make us do anything we choose ourselves. even though he knows the outcome, everyone has their own conscious and if they murder someone it is he or she who is responsible for that crime, not God and not anyone else.
