ok my good people...im usually deliberately vague so as not to influence the answering trend and to leave the question open to interpretation...but no one is getting quite what im banging on about...
maybe we should look for our perfect adversary...someone whom we have mutual respect for that is capable of meeting all our challenges and challenging us in the same and different ways...someone who knows how to make us advance...and advance on us...hold fire...and how to make us do the same and knows when to retreat and stand down...
i am a passionate person by nature but i have one or two friends who can melt me in an instant with a simple smile or something said or a look...thats what im talking about...people who as a perfect adversary would...know how to handle us in battle as well a in romance...so should we all be looking instead for a worthy adversary instead of a perfect match...and by we i mean people...;0)

There is no such thing as the "perfect mate" since human beings are not perfect....even though there are some who have deluded themselves into thinking they are.
In choosing the "Right" Mate, I find that it's best to find someone you love for who they are, flaws and all, and they love you for who you are and aren't trying to change you. Also, the right person is the person who's Issues and BS you can put up with. The rest depends on how hard you and your partner are willing to work on the relationship.

yes we do my man is the match of me in intellect and looks.
he understands what i mean even when i dont say anything.
when we have long winded discussions they always end in a stale mate because we can both see and understand where the other is coming from, and we are usually on the same side which doesnt really help! ;)

yes,perhaps we are trying to choose someone,our perfect enemy in a sense that does not have the same shortcomings as we do.While doing this,perhaps we are trying to fill in the gaps within our personality to strike the balance.
