Not without radically modifying the firewall, interior, electronics, cooling system, etc... It could be done, but those two extra cylinders will need another 6-8 inches of space the 300 or Charger don't have.

If your ultimate goal is produce the power of a stock Viper V-10 which I believe is around 505 right now, you can simply purchase a 300 or Charger with the optional 425 HP Hemi and with a few simple (and considerably cheaper) mods, bring it up to that level.

There are improvements which can be done by porting and polishing the heads, matching the ports on the intake runners, installing a better cam, higher compression pistons, improving the exhaust system and air intake. The head and manifold work can be done by any local competent machine shop and many of the high performance parts can be found from your Chrysler dealer. Ask to see their Mopar Performance catalog.

In addition, a lot of the internal mods to heads, pistons, cam, etc... are technically a gray area to inspectors so your car will probably have no problem passing smog either.

That's the route I would take...

Nope the engine would not fit under the hood. You need a car with a longer hood like the Viper or the Mercedes Mclaren.

A Benz 5.5 litre V8 could fit in there..you'll get more 50 to 60 more horses than the Hemi 6.1....other than that...buy a Viper

Yes, basically you can do anything with any engine to any car. It just depends on how much you want to spend money and timewise.
