I know that many Chirstians, if not all, frown upon the practices of Telekinesis, and other powers like that. My question and opinion is:
If God gave us a brain to use, why not use and train it to move objects with our mind? Correct me if I'm wrong, but i don't think there is anything in the Bible or the 10 Commandments that says "Thou shalt not move items with your mind." I am a Christian myself, and I was wondering about this.
Any other opinions, or answers?

I'd like to add, I cannot do anything like this, and if it's allowed, I would probably practice it. And also, I am not talking about spells, Oujia (sp?) boards, evil enchantments, or anything like that. Just being able to train your mind to move items without physical force.

There is nothing wrong with telekinesis,It uses only your mind.
Jesus dais if you have the faith of a mustard seed say to the mountain uproot yourself, and it will. The wrong comes in when you use other means, occult.Tarot, candles, spells, pentagrams, etc. If your mind is strong use it.

yeah well, so you spend a lot of time and exert a lot of effort to be able to move a paperclip across a table with only the energy projected by your mind. wouldn't it have been easier to simply reach out your hand and use your fingers to move the paperclip? i mean ... whats the point other than the ego of "see what I can do!." IMO it's a big "so what" if all the time and effort put into an action serves no useful purpose.

PS. regardless of what the Fundies say extra normal talents are not evil and not witchcraft. what a bunch of Dark Ages dwellers!

PPS. yep Christina. fer sure there's demons under every bed and lurking in every shadow. BEWARE and BE AFRAID!!

I take it the force is strong with you, Obi-wan.
I think the real question is; is telekinesis real, or are you being duped by some demons into believing you have powers, when it's actually them?
If you think you can move things with your brain, I don't see how it would be hard to believe there could possibly be an invisible force using you as a pawn.

THE GOD quite probably does not want these "mysterious powers" to be used because they are on the verge of the Super Natural.

What might give any person this power if it is not a gift from THE GOD -- could very well be DEMONIC.

Anything like that...+ Tarot + Ouija + Crystal Ball readings, etc. are a DOORWAY for DEMONS so a SUPER NO NO!

Disregard our own opinions and look to the Word of God for guidance on issues like this.

The Bible is clear, to stay away from things like witchcraft and to always guard the conscience. Satan and his minion are spiritual in nature, and we need to be dilligent about things like telekinesis, when it is beyond the physical.

There really are Christians that would frown at such a thing? That's funny. If you have the ability why not use it. I'm Christian and I doesn't matter to me or my faith.

I think that telekinesis is not forbidden by the church. What I think that it is forbidden is the ouija, satanic riths, witchcraft and every thing related to satan
