Is this immigration issue starting to get like beating a dead horse?

Pro's are too ignorant to get the fact that the whole thing is illegal. I asked a question yesterday asking how they would feel if an illegal stole their identity. All but 1 pro danced around the question, avoided the main fact, called names, and called me racist. Which proves that they really have no valid point. For what reason they sympathize I have yet to figure out, but that point was proven to me that the pro side is full of ignorance and opinion based arguments. However, whenever the anti side is asked a question, I admit there are those who are ignorant, but for the most part each and every argument can be backed by some sort of factual event, or a website showing evidence of the truth. Pro's are losing the battle, and yesterday that showed. For those of you who want to see the ignorance for yourself here is the link.

Think like a poor person? I have come up from nothing. I put myself through college. I got 2 degrees, and I am making it for myself. I support my son, myself. I have a great job, and couldn't ask for anything else. I made it for myself the legal way.

We could of let the dead horse rest in peace, if the ILLEGALS didn't invade our country. Unfortunately the beating will continue until there is nothing more than dust left, then we will get another dead horse to beat, and so on, and so on. Just because these people invade our country in masses, doesn't mean we will surrender to them, and open our arms to them. I'm sick of watching all these great Chicago neighborhoods being destroyed by the Illegal invasion. The illegals pack 3-4 families(20 or more ppl) in a 3 bedroom apt. The standard joke in Chicago is how many illegals does it take to pay rent on one 2Br $600 a mo. apt? On average at least 10. They lie to landlords and tell them there are only 4 tenants, when in actuality there are at least 3X that amount. They have 5-6 cars parked all over the streets, its crazy.

I would agree with you guys if you didn't generalize so much, most of the time you say the mexicans (not even south americans, just mexicans) are all taking our jobs, their destroying our country, how can you be so closed minded? I know a LOT of south americans that are here just minding their own business, working and trying to provide for their family, not doing drugs and having a couple of beers like anyone else, yes I know it's illegal to come into this country with no visa, yes some of them are horrible people (just like in any other race), but talk about them like they're garbage and tell them to die or that they should be shot to death is just incredible to me and then you give that thumbs up? Seriously people be a human for once, wouldn't you guys do anything for your family?? Then why are you putting people down for doing the same? The ones (illegal and legal) that should be kicked out are the ones that are raping, killing, doing drugs and all of that stuff. Also I'm sure that all of you have jobs, so how can you say that they are taking your jobs? Didn't ICE agent say that he had 5 degrees or something, then how can a south american take his job?

America is filled with what looks like dead horses ..but there is always hope of an afterlife as long as one still breaths. A bad habit caused by living a life of self realization and Democracy ...old style.
Illegal immigration is an issue we can and ARE doing something about. Americans are fed up with it. IT is clearer and more so to the legislators that this is so. I know this because the really avoid talking about it. At some point the monster is going to bite them in the butt and send them packing, or they are going to have to do the right thing. Insist that American law is obeyed. Without this Democracy and our world will change to such a degree that we will end up being less than a first worl/leader of the world country.

The pro's are losing it and they know it. The reason I visit this site is because it provides me with info that I can share with outher Americans in converstions that do make a difference. Ameicans who tend to have their heads in the sand are starting to realize that American legislators can't do the job they use to for some reason. (That's another heading) So instead of keeping your long necked head in the sand, you get up and write a letter, speak to other Americans about their futures and put into effect measures that legally will pressure our system to end this tyranny against America.

This morning's Houston Chronicle 's showed pictures of 13 Hispanic members of the notorious gang, MS -13. One was in a shoot-out with police last year but escaped to Honduras, where he beheaded his in laws. Then he slipped back in to Houston . Police got a tip, and all are now held for evading arrest and they face federal immigration charges. This is not a story in isolation. Police units have been beefed up in several apartment complexes here because of the steep increases in crime. True, some of these are evacuees from New Orleans who are wanted there.... but MANY are illegals involved not only in petty theft but in murder, too. Build the wall.

I think your question was deleted. I agree that amnesty isn't the way to go, primarily because my grandparents had to pay to get into this country. Here we are, spending over a billion a day in Iraq, and Bush wants to give away green cards that could pull in a revenue of over 12 trillion dollars. I also have a problem with anchor babies (although I don't necessarily like the term). I think that children should have at least one US citizen as a parent in order to be given a citizenship.

You can have all the facts you want, but there is no way that you will get rid of all the illegals in the US. We have become too engrained in American society to simply walk away.

So, I return to my earliest point: Do you really think that after two decades of allowing illegal immigration and encouraging it that you are going to solve the problem by asking us to leave? Where were you when the economy was doing great and all the jobs illegals now hold were abandoned? Were you riding the telemarketing or the .com wave?

I'm sorry to tell you this, but you ****** up. You have given millions a taste of the American dream. It used to be that illegals would come with nothing more than a dream of buying a chevy pickup--the Mexican dream. Now, the border has been closed and millions are stranded here. They will not leave because they understand that America is the future. As you can see, illegals are not as stupid as you make them out to be.
