You could always find somekind of event that you know interests him and come up with 2 tickets and ask him if he'd like to join you. That way it's a date, you made the first move and what happens next is destiny.
Be confident in who you are....he'll like you for you if he's worth it.

Ask him, for instance, to give you a company to see a film, and take it from there. Next, will be another film, or a play, followed by a dinner and, bingo..... things will take their own natural course!

why don't you ask him to come over. if you don't know im that well then really get to know him! when hes over then say to him "look (what ever his name is) i don't want to scare you away from being my mate or anything. but the thing is, i really really really like you and just want to know if you like me?" the important thing is to not come over to desperate or anything and give him his space, if he says he needs to think then give him a few days and let him think. or you could just snog him ... either way!
