What do you call the type of music middle easten people(such as:Islam people) listen to when they pray?

It's not music....they recite verses from their holy book, the Quran.

I wouldn't call it music! lol... seriously though its not really music, just rhythmic reading of Koranic verses.

In countries like Malaysia where I was recently it boomed out of the Mosqes at 5am to Muslims and non-muslims alike!

We can't listen to music. It's haraam. And we don't listen to music in a mosque. Prayer is for us to show devotion to ALLAH. Maybe your talking about the call to prayer?

They actually recite it, or listen to the reciation of the imam who leads the prayer, its not music its the qur'an.
