South Central Georgia,USA. Towns and cites like Vidalia, Statesboro, Swainsboro, Dublin, Eastman, Cochran, Claxton.
This is the south. Breakfast here loaded down with scrambled eggs, your choice of 3 meats, grits, gravy and biscuit can be purchased from hundreds of gas stations in this area for less than 4 bucks with a drink.
This is not fine dining, just good country food.
Lunch, kinda the same. The fare is fried something, generally chicken. Chicken wings, livers, gizzards, tenders and the kind with bone in it. On Fridays, you will have catfish too. And, surprisingly, it will cost you about a dollar more than breakfast. Lunch prices will range between 5 and 10 bucks, depending on where and what you have.
Dinner is a different story. Unless you want go back to the gas station and get leftover lunch, then dinner will be with drink 8 to 25 again, depending on what you have. Here in the south, meals are very generous, and relatively cheap.

Assuming that you mean everything is bought outside?
Breakfast- about $4- a bagel w/ cream cheese, and a coffee from Dunkin Donuts!
Lunch- about $7- that's a sandwich, a drink and a small salad or small bag of chips
Dinner-about $15 at the least if you are going to have something to drink and a salad starter
If you make everything at home, it would be about half

Breakfast at home could cost 2 dollars, out would cost 4.
Lunch would cost 3 dollars our would cost 5.
Dinner at home would cost about 5 and out would be about 6 a person.
So about 10 to 15 dollars a day.
This is not the most healthy menu mind you.. lol

Brooklyn NY
You are asking the wrong question -
You should be asking the price of basic food items
(bread, flour, eggs, chicken etc. etc.)
If you do your own cooking - here in Brooklyn NY
you could easily be living on under $7 US a day with a diet including cereal for breakfast (oatmeal etc) - sandwich and soup for lunch and a dinner
of chicken/fish/beef/pork/lentils and vegetables with a starch of rice/potato/pasta/bulgar etc.

I live in Holtville, California, USA.
I'd say average meal costs for one person for one day would be between $15 and $20. You could do it for $5-10 if you didn't eat that much or if you bought really cheap stuff.
