In Hebrew there is an alphabet to express a sound which, in English, can only be alluded to by putting double 'i'. It is a problem in transliteration. That is, writing a word of one language in the alphabets of another. There are many sounds which the English language can not utter.

Because if they spelled it correctly, there would only be one "i" and no "e" and yahoo would not let them use their true name on the site. YBIC
