We want to adopt and we are planning to stay in the states.. but the laws are diffrent in other countries and it is easier to adopt here in the US you have so many rules and regualtions and state laws and the requirments to adopt in the states is crazy which makes it hard and a long drawn out process..

Adoptions in the United States are often costly and take many years. Also, many couples only want an infant (preferably from its first days), and so all the orphaned children and wards of the state who were taken from their parents for abuse or other reasons get bounced around in foster homes instead. Getting an infant from another country is much easier, and in other countries, the older children are also left in orphanages and foster homes most often. It is very sad, but no one has found a solution yet.

The majority of people wanting to adopt want infants and in the U.S. those are hard to come by unless you go through a private adoption. Also, people here don't want to deal with the birth parents suddenly coming back into their lives and trying to get the baby back. With international adoptions, processes are in place to make the adoption fairly easy, though expensive because they require trips to the country you're adopting from. From what I've heard, a U.S adoption is maybe $15k, while an international one is about $25k.

Because they want a baby rather than an older child and they don't want to have to wait years and years on a waiting list for a baby.
Yes, there are many older children in this country waiting to be adopted but I think people are afraid that the child may have emotional problems and they are not equipped or simply don't want to deal with.

Most of the children available for adoption in North America are not infants. Most people looking to adopt prefer to adopt infants. Usually this is because they have not been able to conceive a child of their own, and want the experience of "having a baby".
The number of infants available for adoption domestically is significantly lower than the number of people who wish to adopt them. At the same time, the number of infants available for adoption internationally is huge. While it is much more costly to adopt internationally, it is much, much quicker. Many adoptive parents would prefer to pay the additional costs in order to become parents sooner.
Tragically, children over the age of 2 or 3 have little chance of being placed in a permanent home because they are deemed "too old" by those looking to adopt. Most of these children face a lifetime of foster care or group homes. Once they turn 18, they are then pushed out of the foster care system, and are left to fend for themselves, usually completely unprepared for life.

Because they feel better about adopting a kid from a poor country probably. Also moms in the USA can take their babies back before they sign the adoption papers and you don't get any money back. Moms overseas automatically lose custody to their children if you adopt kids overseas and you don't have to worry about the mom fighting you for custody later on if she chooses to do so. Also most people want babies and don't adopt older kids in the USA because they don't want to deal with them and can't force their beliefs on them.

There are thousands and thousands everywhere. babies get observed conventional from in and in a distant places usa. regrettably for some babies, households generally decide to undertake infants or babies. maximum of our orphan inhabitants (same as with different international locations) is made up of older babies/young human beings. There are wait-lists for infants and a super form of chosen to merely undertake from someplace else. not saying it incredibly is authentic, it incredibly is merely the way it incredibly is.

The orphans in America have it alot better then the orphans in other countries. If I were to adopt, I know it'd be from another country. Yes, I feel sorry for the orphans here..but since they have it so much better then orphans in other places, I'd try and find the child who was in need of care the most.

There are a few reasons. American adoptions take forever and cost a fortune. Many people also want babies..not older kids.
