Actually for me, blanding it down a little bit seems to mess with my digestion. A bowl of grits (which is basically ground up corn and hominy) or oatmeal and I'm worried I'll be dehydrated after what leaves me during the bathroom break.

But when I eat what I usually eat (jalapenos on most of what I eat and Tobasco sauce on everything else), I feel great.

I don't think spicy or bland is the problem, the problem is radical changes in your diet. If you are used to spicy and/or heavy foods and then switch to something light, it is as likely to screw you up as switching to heavy or spicy foods when your diet is usually light.

Big time. And not just that, it gives you the runs. I love spicy food. I'm thinking of getting a t.v for the bathroom because I'm in the washroom every twenty minutes when I eat spicy food.

You see, the digestive tract works like this: when food goes in, it is processed by the body to release its energy. The waste products are gathered for removal and sent to the excretory organs. Hopefully you are in or near a bathroom when waste is ready to come out.

So yes, spicy food, like all food, should make you go to the bathroom.

I believe eating too much of one thing can make you go to the bathroom. I think moderation is the key. Eat a nice balance of spicy, and non- spicy food.Take care.

It depends on your regular eating habits and how sensitive your stomach is to whatever you are eating. Just remember if you eat too many spicy foods it can cause acid reflect and cause wearing away of your asophogus which you should see your doctor if this occurs.
