making the community better?

if you could somehow better the environment in your community, what would you do to make that happen?

My grandmother before she passed on taught me a very valuable lesson that I still hold in my heart to this day.
She told me that if everyone in the world would just leave a place a *little* bit better than the way they left it, what a beautiful world we would live in.

Then she picked up a piece of trash she saw on the ground and threw it away. She didn't clean up the whole park, but she did her part. Ever since then I have been trying to do the same.

Saving the world is great, big, daunting task we face, so I think it's best to narrow down to something we CAN do, like one piece of trash.
