During Spring it's a good idea to have pastels (pinks, baby blues). Summer's colors are a bit more head on like brights (red, yellow). Fall's colors are more warm (browns, burnt oranges). Winter's colors are dark (deep burgundy, hunter green).

But always remember, it's YOUR wedding! Do whatever color you want! If you want hot pink during Winter, go at it!

Usually dark colors are used for a winter wedding, But any color can be use for any time of the year. So, just pick your favorite colors and go with that combination.

There is no "rule" to colors for each season nor what color you want to do for your wedding. But, here is the list of typical colors founded in each season. Please keep in mind each of these are matched with white or ivory:

Winter: red, black, dark hunter green, dark blue, silver, gold, plum
Spring: pastal colors such as yellow, light green, pink, baby blue, and lilac
Summer: bright, bold colors such as deep yellow, pink, sea blue
Fall: orange, green, yellow, dark red, brown

I had a late summer wedding and my colors were ivory, taupe and champanne - I didnt go with the norm for bright colors - so you can do whatever you like! Pick a theme and go with it! My girlfriend's wedding this June will be bright yellow with navy blue because her theme is stars, moons, and sun.

Good luck

I went to a beautiful wedding in the winter that was red black and white. I didn't think it would be as pretty as it was.

Any color you choose is the right one, whatever season it is! It's your day, you get to pick.

Whatever colors you prefer. My husband and I had a December wedding. My husband likes the color black and i love maroon. He and his best man and groomsmen wore black dress shirts , blackpants and wore maroon colored ties. I wore a beautiful black dress with a maroon colored taffeta shawl. We did not want the typical red or green for Christmas . the maroon color was classy and accented the black beautifully. We even managed to find maroon poinsettas. We both were very pleased with how both colors complimented each other . Just like we do !lol. I have pics if you ever want to see. lotusgoddess_1969@yahoo.com

It depends on the season and location in which the wedding will take place. I would just go with what ever colors you like and that make you feel happy. Congrats on your engagment and good luck.

The spring is light pastel colors, the summer is typically brights, autumn would be earthy or woody colors and winter would be dark deep colors (hunter green, sea blue, etc).

However, it really depends on YOU. What color do YOU like?? For my first wedding (April) my color was teal. 2nd wedding was hunter green (December). Notice the trend? Both are green. I like GREEN and dark colors that are earthy.

I love soft colors for spring, either soft or bright and lively for summer, warm colors in the fall, and rich colors in winter...

Spring...pastel pinks, yellows, peaches, purples
Summer...same, or any pretty bright color, oranges, reds
Fall...terricotta, browns, dark reds
Winter...reds greens browns even metalics

Pretty much anything will work if you use it right...
