Jesus said that at the end there will be many who call to him, "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23

I am not Catholic, but I don't want to show disrespect for your church. That said, I do not believe that any earthly priest can forgive your tormentor's sins.

God bless.

Are you saying the person done such thing then ask for forgiveness then went back and did wrong the next day?? Thats not how it works with God...you don't do things intentionally then say Lord forgive me. But if he did such thing once then yes he can be forgiven. God is a good God and he forgives all except:

Mark 3:29 "But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation. "

So if he ask for forgiveness and repent God will accept and forgive.

Hebrews 10:17 "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."

And I agree with the other person don't take your problems to your priest because he has to stand before God on judgement just like you so take all your problems to the one and only problem solver...GOD.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Friend, God can forgive a person like this, But if they truly repented, they won't come back the next day & do the samething, This shows me they have not truly repented. A person can claim to be a Christian, But if they are truly sorry for their sins, they will not continue in such a sin. And I don't believe in confessing to a Priest, Jesus Christ is my savior, not a priest.

First Christians don't go to confessions, they can just confess their sins to God and that is it. Second that is a tough question but I am going to try to answer it the best way I can. God sees everything you do and know what is really in your heart, if you ask God for his forgiveness and know that you are going to go do the same thing the next day then he will forgive you, but when you time comes on judgement day he will call you out.

sas,

1 - Forgiveness is only for those who repent. The bible states this very clearly, that for the wilful sinner, only terrible judgement remains. You can search this up. If there is no repentance, there is no forgiveness.

2 - There is no such thing as praying/confessing to a priest. Jesus said "I am the truth, the way and the life, no one goes to the Father except through me". People should be praying to God in Jesus' name, not through a priest.

If they truly accept Jesus then could never again do something like that and would spend their life trying to undo what they did. We don't really know but God does know a persons heart.

My brother is very frustrated with religon because of what he sees in the prison system. He works in a prison. He says the inmates often convert to Islam or Christianity leave the prison and comeback later having committed worse crimes. the hypocriscy he is really turned off by.

First of all I don't believe you have to go to a priest for confession, you can go straight to God in prayer. Second if someone is sexually abusing you, he is not a Christian. Thirdly, if a person is sorry for their sins and is willing to forsake them and ask God to forgive him and accept Jesus as his personal savior, he is saved. If there is absolutely no change, he didn't get saved. You need to report this to child welfare at once, don't wait on a priest to help you.

imho: Jesus died for everyone's sins. if this person commited atrocities and asked for forgivness (genuine) he would recieve forgivness and go to Heaven if he truly accepts Jesus Christ as his personal savior....however, if he goes to confession then comes back and does the same thing again, he is not truly trying to straighten out his life, he does not mean what he says and he will be judged accordingly when he tries to get into Heaven.

If he does not repent and turn away from his sin
he will spend his eternity in Hell. We still need to pray that he will accept Jesus and become a new man through Christ,so that he may be forgiven. Also you need to forgive him to cleanse you spirit.
I understand what you are going through.
I pray for God to give you the strength to get through this.

If he repeats an act as horrible as that he does not have Jesus in his heart and he does not love the Lord. The Bible says you must have faith, and show your faith through loving others.
