It all depends on who is interpreting the Koran. Some muslims believe they are commanded by "god" to do this, while others ignore the verse in the koran that gives them the green light to kill and pillage.

To a fanatic anyone that doesn't interpet the koran the way he/she does is not even considered a muslim, so they would even attack muslims that don't embrace their radical interpretation of the koran.

That is not true. Revenge is Sweet got it correctly. Read the Quran yourself and figure it out. So much so that even in times of war it was forbidden to harm women/children/the elderly, it was forbidden to destroy standing crops or even to cut down trees. Read the history of the Crusades and the contrasting treatment of the conquered peoples by the Crusaders and by the Muslim armies. Open up your mind.

as far as the prophet was concerned

those who did not believe in Islam had more rights for us muslims to protect than the muslims themselves

as non believers were seen as those that needed to be informed of Gods message, so the amount of rights to be protected were more.

Good example BANU QURAIZA never did anything against muhammad. Their only fault was that they were artisans, gold myths and wealthy Jews. Muhammad needed their wealth. Read SAHIH BUKHRY and see what he did to them.

I am not a moslem i am a christian but i am reading allot about him and as far as i read he only preached peace.
i did read some stuff like that but they were not written by moslems it was written by either christians or jews who ,if you read it will realise that the intention is to attack the moslems and their prophet.
so the answer is no.
