I have an 11 week old shitzu/Papillon mix puppy. I have only had him for 1.5 weeks. I feed him Bil-Jac puppy food.
He usally has normal stool, but once a day he has a runny stool with a little drop of dark blood in it. at first I thought it was the treats I was feeding him, so I stopped giving them, but it hasn't stopped. I am taking him to the vet tomorrow but it is freaking me out. any suggestions on what it might be?

I'm not qualified to give you a specific answer, only the vet can do that. With puppies, and dogs of all ages, it is important to make sure they are current on all their vaccines. Most likely, you have reacted quick enough so that if it is anything serious, the vet can take care of it. Puppies are born with parasites and have to be de-wormed. It's nothing to be concerned about, it's normal. If he hasn't completed all hi puppy vaccines it could be as simple as that. Good Luck!

Could be simply worms. If all the stools were runny, mucousy, with blood, I would tell you to go the vet NOW since it might be parvo. But if you are getting normal stools, you may not have to worry about that. If the puppy is also sleeping to much or seems to be in distress, go today as an emergency. Otherwise stop panicking and go to your appointment tomorrow. Puppies are pretty fragile, but usually the problem is pretty minor.

When you go to the vet, consider signing up for a puppy wellness plan. Your wlalet will thank you in the long run.

Your right to take him to the vet, i couldnt say what it is and in all honesty i wouldnt ask on here, although everyone can be helpful they cant really say with any certainty without qualifications and even then they have to see the animal and ask further questions.
asking on here may only freak u out further! wait and see what the vets say and if he gets worse over the night call your vets emergency line.
A little pup like that needs specialist attention.
Just a thought are u feeding the same stuff and amount as the breeder did? its really important to do that for the first few months but regardless see your vet!
Good luck.
