If I wanted to find someone (free or as cheaply as possible) in another state how would I go about doing that? I have full name and birthdate and maybe a phone number (I'm not 100% sure if it is theirs or not) - I need to get as much information about this person as possible.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!!!

Edited to add:
I'm trying to find out where a person is currently working and their current address. It's not for me - a friend of mine is in a custody battle and has VERY limited funds and I wanted to help her out. She wasn't even able to send her child a Christmas present because the father refuses to give out their current address.

You can get a criminal history and a history of all civil cases involving this individual by going to your state's judicial website. Find that site (google Virginiastatejudiciary.com for example) and find case "look-up" on the website. Type in the person's name and you'll get all court cases of all types ever filed involving that person.

Actually....obtaining ones "Criminal History" as maintained by the FBI is NOT possible unless you are a law enforcement agency with a legitimate purpose for investigating someone.

There are means by which you can obtain certain information through the Freedom of Information Act or through public records which can still be limited!

You don't state WHY you would need the information so...happy hunting none the less!

There are some websites that offer the assistance in finding people for a minimal fee. For example: www.peoplelookup.com offers their services for $19.
Good Luck!
