I have 2 old scuba tanks and I also have a kegerator. I want to know if I can use one old scuba tank, fill them with CO2 and use one for my kegerator?

This can be done. but you will need to change out the valve. a CO2 regulators has left inside threads..and note that a CO2 tank has a higher PSI rating to it than a Dive tank. so even thou you can make it work it's not a good idea.. and you may not find a shop to fill the tank because it's under rated for the PSI of CO2

but why do this to a good dive tank..?

Just stop in to your local soda distributer and get a CO2 tank the Deposit on it is 50.00 and the CO2 is 18.00 then just each time you need more drop off the empty and pick up a full one for 18.00 bucks.

No. The cylinders for different gasses are designed to handle different amounts of pressure. To make sure that people don't put the wrong gas in a given cylinder, the cylinder threading differs.

Possibly, you would need to check with the manufacturer and specifications before you try.
