My 93 Pontiac Transsport has a unique issue. When I'm driving down the road all of a sudden my check engine light comes on and the idle jumps to about 2500 rpm's , and if the cruise is on it shuts off. There is no warning it also happens sometimes when I start the vehicle or when sitting at a light etc. Then later it goes back to normal and the check engine light goes off like nothing happened? ????????? ideas? gr-elvis

Unique issue?!? A properly functioning pontiac is THE unique issue.

TPS.......throttle position sensor,located on the side of the throttle body.....electronic,cannot be adjusted.
