I understand Christ suffered for us and I am aware it was a horrible suffer. But I feel there is suffering int the world now that in inflicted on good human beings, some I feel are worst or just as bad as how Christ suffered. People who died horrible deaths, or children that are abused and have to live with the life time mental effects afterwards. And those that are born with medical defects that give theme alife time of struggle. I am a catholic, but I have a difficult time understanding all this.

Religion is a joke. Seriously, it's amazing that so many intelligent people can fall for it. Walking on water, water into wine, hocus-pocus... do you believe in Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny too? Things happen in life - not because God wants them too - but because that's life. Enjoy each day to it's fullest and help others as much as possible - but don't waste another minute trying to figure out why people are suffering and how it relates to J.C. Also, you may want to grab that 10th grade grammar book and a spell-checker.

In the beginning God completely sustained His creation without blemish. That’s why it was perfect. He held every atom together in a perfect state. He kept the planets in their orbits. He kept animals from tripping and breaking their necks. He did not allow people to suffer and die.
Deuteronomy 8:4 gives us a little glimpse of how things might have been in the original creation. “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” God is omnipotent and perfectly capable of sustaining and protecting his creation.
When Adam sinned, however, the Lord cursed the universe. In essence there was a change and along with that change God seemingly took away a little bit of his sustaining power and allowed things like suffering and death into His creation. Now He permits bad things to happen—and this is a reminder that sin has consequences and that the world needs a Savior. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”

God took pleasure in all of His creation ("http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=revelation+4:11&version=NKJV"), but He loved people most of all. He allowed the created universe to deteriorate so we would see the consequences of our sin. If we did not see the consequences of our sin, we would never see that we need salvation from our sin, and we would never accept His offer of mercy for our sin. Most people easily recognize that there is a problem in the world. This can be used to show them that there is one who has overcome this problem of death and suffering—Jesus Christ.

It's okay to not fully understand the atonement. It's a big, huge, thing, that I think no one really totally understands in this life.

But what I can say, what I do know, is that Christ also suffered all of these things. Every last tummy ache, every last heart ache, every pain both physical and emotional, Jesus felt.

It's mind boggling to think of because no mortal, like you or me, could begin to do that without going into shock and dying, but He could, and He did.

He also promised to heal all the hurts (physical and emotional) of those that come to Him. Maybe not in this life, but His promise is there, and His promises are sure.

There is no reason to think that Jesus suffered more than anyone else ever has, that isnt the point. The point is that He DID suffer, and suffered greatly for YOU and He did not have to do it.If someone else suffered in any way for you, say a friend gave up a kidney for you, jumped in front of a bullet to safe YOUR life would it be hard to appreciate it even though its not AS painful as some other things?

No one gets out of this life without suffering. As a Catholic you should know the value of suffering unless you have been indoctrinated into the "watered down" theology that most religions are putting out these days. As a member of the Body of Christ, you will suffer. Read St. Therese' The Little Flower's books. She will teach you the value of suffering. Everyday offer up your day and everything in it to God united to the sufferings of Christ. This is why St. Paul said he makes up in his body what is lacking in the suffering of Christ for his sins. The Fundies are going to go wild with that one but, it is true. The Church is Christ's bride and this way they are one flesh, one body,. Christ died because his wife (The Church) dies due to the sin in her. There are many people who offer up their suffering for their own sins and the sins of others (united to Christ in baptism) and in this way they are real hero's. I would venture to say that in Heaven we will see the many people who have helped with our salvation by their offerings. Now, wasn't Jesus' suffering enough, you will ask. The answer is of course it was but, he allows us to help just like a parent is more than capable of making a chocolate cake all by themselves but, they allow their child to help because they love them.

good day. This term 'Christ suffers with us' is in connection with the undesirable issues that Jesus continued on the hand of guy together as in the international. there is not any scriptural help to declare that he got here FOR this , besides the undeniable fact that it replaced into nonetheless an quintessential part of his actual journey. Hebrews 5:8-10 ''although he replaced right into a Son, he found out obedience from the failings he suffered;  and after he were made suited he grew to advance into to blame for eternal salvation to all those obeying him,  by using fact he has been specially called by potential of God a intense priest in accordance to the form of Mel?chiz?e?dek.'' The verse above says ''he found out obedience from the failings he suffered'' , did that propose Jesus replaced into dissobedient earlier he suffered ? NO. , Jesus replaced into , and continually has been completely obedient to the will of his heavenly father - Jehovah. What this implies is that he gained a sparkling appreciation of the priority of mankind in the time of the journey , and from that attitude he replaced into able to appreciate what it potential for a human to be obedient , something that a spirit creature is often no longer able to absolutely understand. this is this explanation why Jesus Christ is the suited mediator and intense priest that characterize imperfect guy earlier God. ''have been his sufferings a ways previous something we can think of?'' little doubt what he went by using replaced into severe !! He actually had the way forward for the comprehensive international of mankind bearing down on his shoulders. no longer in basic terms that , yet he had to represent his father in a stable and proper way in any respect cases , even whilst decrease than very numerous discomfort. yet did he go through each little thing . NO. As Jesus replaced into suited he replaced into on no account sick , it replaced into no longer achieveable for him to settlement a sickness , or get maximum cancers. including to that he could on no account have grown previous and died a frail and sickly previous guy. So there replaced into maximum easily issues that Jesus did no longer journey that mankind often does. thankfully he too may well be sympathetic for those different styles of issues as he replaced into able to make sure first hand the end results of sin and dying - even in his friends. at present Jesus is alive interior the heavens friendly his place as King and intense Priest. From that vantage factor we can be useful that he's prevalent with of all the failings that plague mankind at present. For extra Bible based suggestions please be at liberty to email me.

The Lord Jesus Christ not only suffered physically, but in every way. He took upon Himself our shame, our guilt our suffering, our pain, our sin. He, the perfect sacrifice, who did no wrong, took upon Himself all the pain and misery of mankind.

Its interesting that theodicy (the existence of evil) is considered by theologians one of the strongest arguments the existence of god. It must say something about the very unscientific way in which they think because I personally feel its one of the weakest.

Maybe god wants you to suffer, maybe you learn through suffering or you'll be rewarded more in heaven... maybe he just finds it funny to mess people about, maybe he doesnt know or care and cant control whats going on etc and so on and so forth.

Romans 8 18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration not byi ts own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it. in hope that the creation itself will be liberated rom its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of god

Jesus suffered for a couple of days, was dead for a couple of days and then became a god.

There are people in Africa and some in the Middle-East who suffer their whole lives and die and never get such a reward.
