but Jesus said he was gods son. None of these other prophets allowed themselves to be worshipped, except for Jesus. If Jesus was not God, wouldn't he have given honor to God, and refused honor to himself?

For nitpickers. He says my father when refering to God the father, he says I am in him and he in me, refering to God. And he allowed men to bow down to him.

Exactly. Even the angels in the bible refused to be worshipped.
A true prophet will not allow Gods glory to be given to them when they are not deserving of it.
This is the problem with Joseph Smith, and the theory that Jesus was a prophet, and not the Son of God.

Because they were.
Jesus never asked for worship---and He always referred to His Father in heaven as the Almighty. Jesus is the human form of God--and the perfect example of how we are to attempt to live our lives. He is absolutely without a doubt God's Son. He was born to die for us and that's exactly what He did.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"but Jesus said he was gods son". ERROR ERROR ERROR! The prophets said Jesus was Gods son, Jesus said he was the son of man 63 times, and only ONCE according to John. John and Paul cannot be trusted, as they worked for the pre-existing catholic church. Jesus never wrote not one word of the bible, so not a word of it can be proven as true

People get confused with the God's son thing. He is God because he has God's essence within him. Mr. Johnson has a son. The son is Mr. Johnson too.

In the Bible, Jesus called himself the Son of Man, and when he referred to God as Father, also implied that we are all children of God. In the Qur'an, in the sura Miriam, Jesus says He is a prophet, and there are several citations for this. Example (given with three different translations):
005.116
YUSUFALI: And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.
PICKTHAL: And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah? he saith: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then Thou knewest it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy Mind. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower of Things Hidden?
SHAKIR: And when Allah will say: O Isa son of Marium! did you say to men, Take me and my mother for two gods besides Allah he will say: Glory be to Thee, it did not befit me that I should say what I had no right to (say); if I had said it, Thou wouldst indeed have known it; Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I do not know what is in Thy mind, surely Thou art the great Knower of the unseen things.
