Her best friend is in love with me!

2007-01-31 03:06:08 · update #1

Let me re-phrase that, cause alot of you guys went all crazy on me. I broke up with my girlfriend about 2 months ago, and one of her closer friends is in love with me, and I think I have built feelings for her too, is it ok to date her? She was actually my best friend before I started dating my ex, don't know if that makes a difference or not tho. Please help, and don't give me $*it about it.

Keep in mind that girls (the good friends anyway) have a thing where they don't really hook up with their friend's ex....and if they do, they make sure enough time has passed and their friend is okay with it. That said, if you and the friend both want to get together, she'll most likely make sure it's okay with your ex, but if you and the ex have remained friends, it would be cool for you to make sure it's okay with her as well. Good luck!

Did u ever tell your x-girlfriend that u wouldn't date any of her friends? If u didn't then yeah u should ask her best friend out. Don't wait 2 long bcuz u never know your x-girlfriends best friend might find somebody else.

You will be in for drama like you have never seen before. But it might work out. There is a good chance that she will end up choosing her friend over you even though she shows interest now.

That's NEVER ok!!! That's in the "hidden rule book"....
I'm sure you can find someone else other than her best friend. If her best friend actually dates you, then she's a terrible friend.

it sounds like you may be upset about your break up..If that is in fact your situation you know already that is a huge no-no..just think how you would feel if she started dating your best friend..even if you are not torn up about the break up..you would not wanna come between best friends..right...and why the hurry to hook up again?

I'd wait a month or so, or however long it takes to let all the drama die down---- maybe she'll hook up pretty quick with another new guy so then YOU can date whomever asap.

Dating your girlfriend's best friend is not an honorable thing to do. There are too many other girls to date. Please show some respect.
