I just got this dream in which i was in some monument (INDIA). And i was troubled by the filthy site of the water in the pool over there. So i and some children started cleaning this pool by carrying buckets of water to this site... Now , im thinking that is there any such organistaion in INDIA that is cleaning the monuments, the buildings and the streets... Even if there is , why is it i still see evrything is so unclean and garbage is everywhere.... If one were to start such an organisation , then it will involve a lot of people and it would give the poor a job . For them to be happy with the job, they need proper pay.... Now to pay them we again will have to depend on the government.... Now will the government be able to pay these thousands and millions of ppl, all over India, who are cleaning the streets and cities.... Im talking of effective cleaning ! Cos, there will be someone incharge of these ppl , who constantly sees to that that the workers are doing there work..

There is an organization that was formed years ago by a young teenager named Chad Pregracke. He was appalled by the dumping in the Mississippi River.

So, he took his small boat and started picking up trash. Through the years, he kept getting bigger and bigger. Now, he heads Living Lands and Waters. They are a multimillion dollar organization designed to clean up trash in rivers.

While he is not in India, his story is an ispiration to all that one person can make a difference.

You can find out more about him here: http://www.livinglandsandwaters.org/

Email him, research his story and duplicate his success.

Good Luck

To clean India you need to change people's consciousness first. The roots of India's garbage, non-ecologic, and unsustainable way of life are rooted deep in people's minds as this article http://ahamot.org/en/why-do-indians-litter-so-much/ implies.
Therefore one has to start with small. Call other young people to help. Call your saddhus and priests, organize those who are really ready to do something and do it. Try cleaning some small spaces first. Ask local newspapers to write about it. When you get established with that and authoritative, ask local governments for help.
To make communities sustainable, talk to people, educate them, much of India's litter and pollution comes from ignorance and lack of education
