Include anything unexpected to be in there. (like giants, or huge oversized fruit, etc)

"Ehyay Asher Ehyay" (God's answer when Moses asked His name). Traditionally translated "I am that I am"; a puzzling riddle for millenia.
But, translating it phonetically, Ea Asher Ea, it becomes a bit more clear (but totally unacceptable to current religions.)

Moses: What is your name?
God: Ea, the god Ea of Ashur (Assyria).

Like I said, pretty darn clear read phonetically, but totally "unacceptable". You just have to decide. If you ask God a clear, simple question, does He give you a clear, simple answer, or does He reply in riddles?

Yes, there really was a god named Ea. (Also called Enki by the Sumerians.) The god of justice, the creator and defender of man. In Western Semitic dialects, from which Hebrew evolved, his name was pronounced Yah (much like the Hebrew YWYH, or Yahweh). He had a mighty son called Yeshu, prophesied to be the "redeemer and savior of mankind". A bit interesting that the Angel insisted that Mary's child must be named Jesus, which is pronounced "Yeshu-a" in Hebrew, don't you think?

When I first read the description of the Four Beasts in Revelation 4:6-8 I thought it was visually strange, and symbolically complex.

It reads: "And before the throne a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about; and full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. (Rev. 4:6-8)

NOTE: This is only one of many scriptures/verses others might find unusual or in your words "strange".

While I don't doubt that the experience concerning Job happened, I do have a problem with God and Satan having this casual face to face conversation. It just doesn't seem "God like" for God to "wager" or bet on anything. So I guess the "behind the scenes" stuff is what I don't understand yet. I'm not saying it didn't happen just like that, it's just that I don't understand it yet, so it's a little odd to me.

I always thought the story of Job was odd, but I don't know if that would qualify as weird.

- the devil apparently just sort of walks into god's domain and starts a conversation
- they make a wager of sorts
- god allows horrible things to happen to Job
- but then 'makes up' for it

I don't know, it just doesn't sit well with me. I understand that even in Christian circles it is considered a difficult story.

There are a lot of verses (in the KJV) mentioning dragons, and some mentioning unicorns and cockatrices. I find it strange that God doesn't know these creatures are imaginary.

What you find that you define as weird or strange in the Bible is what you don't yet understand and with an open heart & mind along with patiance you will understand it as you go on.

"And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron." ~ Judges 1:19

Is iron God's kryptonite?

Have you ever read Revelations. That will make your head spin. I've read it twice and still don't fully understand it.
