Look for a local park district. Many offer children's birthday parties. This may be a good option if you have smaller nieces /nefews etc or even children that are older. You don't have to clean up and don't have to shell out more money for tokens at chuckie cheese. Depending on where you are....I know that Worth offers a great chlidren's party package. Food included!

I agree, have the party at home. Your child is to young to know the difference. My son just turned one shortly after Christmas. We celebrated when we had family over. He could care less. Not interested in presents or the cake, so why waste your money.
Don't let relatives infuence you into having a big party. It's just not worth it at this age.

Most of the birthday places like Chuck E. Cheeses would be wasted on him and maybe too stimulating (I can hardly bear them). A small at home thing would seem beeter.

Chuck E Cheese. There are many of them around. Gymboree is supposed to have nice parties too.

Save your money. Bake the child a cake your self. The child won't know the difference at this age. Take lots of pictures and have fun.
