My fiance woke me up today at 4 am. Told me the army is picking him up today, when we thought they were leaving tomorrow. We kissed and hugged. Our step son keeps on asking 'where's daddy, where's daddy?" The thing thats scaring me is. He told me it's for training. (out of state) for 4 months. What if its not, we all know troops are getting sent to the middle east now.

I'm in the Army. If he said it's for training; it's for training. Some units do not allow cell phones during training....but he should be able to give you a call once he gets out of state to let you know he made it safely.

If all else fails, go to the Red Cross and request health status of a military soldier. The Red Cross will find the soldier and the unit will have to respond saying that he's ok. When you go to the Red Cross be sure to take his full name, unit, and duty station.

Good Luck

If he is being sent to the middle east I think he would have told you. Dont you trust him? My father was in the army and I know that he was never just all of a sudden sent somewhere without notice neither was my exhusband or any other active duty person or active duty national guard. Tell the child the truth where daddy is. And as far as I know most ppl arent being sent to the Middle East for only 4 months, isnt the shortest now 6 months and thats national guardsmen

Sweetie the only thing you can do is have faith that your fiance will be alright and come home to you. I am a female in the military and it is very hard to leave everytime. You tell his son that his daddy love's him and will be back soon, and that you are there for him now until daddy comes home. You have to Claim that your fiance will come home, don't doubt it for minute. Don't worry don't stress, live life like he is there with you, cause he will be soon.

Out of state for 4 month? Is he sure its only for 4 month? And out of state most likely means middle east. Sorry to tell you that but that is exactly how it sounds. I am currently in Iraq and i know they keep sending more and more over here. No worries; he is going to be alright!

I know it's hard because it is so sudden, but keep your head up and be strong for your step son. Explain to him that daddy is training to serve our country and is a hero for doing so.

Keep yourself busy and try to worry to much.
best wishes

I know military people and if they have given him a specific time frame, it IS training and he WILL be in the states. They would not give a specific time if he was going overseas.

Good luck and hang in there, okay?

He's not in the army. He's spending 4 months in Hawaii with another woman.

Verify his story and keep the faith. You're stronger than you think - keep the faith.
