I'm planning on having my job take out extra money but I just wanna know do you get it all back when you file

When you file you will get back whatever exceeds the taxes that you owe. If you have the job withhold extra money and already have enough withheld to pay your taxes you will get all of it back.

The IRS would prefer that you have your withholding as close to your correct taxable amount as possible. You can do yourself a great benefit by having that money work for you ie; savings, CD, or even a Roth IRA.
