you cant. its as simple as that. i am married, and i have that one person that everytime i see them or they are around, my heart skips a beat. i know we can never be together, the timing was always just wrong. and i love this person with all my heart, and i dont ever want to forget that. and i love my husband and our relationship is good, and i would never jeoprodize that, but it will always be there. dont try to get rid of the feeling, cherish it, and if you know that person feels the same way, then you two share something special, that no one will understand, and that is one reason that makes life worth living if you ask me.

Your feelings are being fueled by the unmet needs in your current relationship. Think about it -- if all of your needs were being met, then you would not be looking for anyone else.

You should examine your current relationship, and ask yourself, "What am I not getting? What is not there?" If you love the man your with, and love him enough to want to stay with him, then you deserve to get these issues resolved by a professional couples' counselor.

However, if your current relationship is transitory, in other words, you cannot imagine living your life with this person, then maybe it is time to reevaluate why you are in this relationship to begin with?

Maybe you are in it because you did not want to be alone anymore. Maybe you are in it because of reasons that have little to do with building a long-lasting relationship.

If your current relationship is the "real-deal," then it will only get stronger if you and he work on making it better, and then, the feelings you have for the other guy will fade away.

Feelings are things you cannot control for the most part. But you can do 2 things: 1- tell them about the feelings and talk about it so that it is out in the open. This is risky as it could affect the friendship quite a bit. 2- keep it locked up and continue beings friends with them. This could be a bit lonly and painful but can be overcome and will save the friendship from change.

It's only natural to still feel a flicker of attraction from someone you've had a crush on.

The real question is, are your feelings for this person any match for the feelings you have for the person you are with? If the answer is yes, you have to consider why this is and whether it's a short term thing or not.

If it is just a crush, try aversion therapy. Concentrate on the bad points of the person, somehow associate them with things you hate. Also, try and concentrate your energy on the person you are with, if they are the person you really want to be with.

Good Luck!

The feeling just cant be stop my dear, its just come like a sparkling too. It wont stop, no matter how hard u tried. It will go off if u try to tell the truth to him and sort of he kinda will reject. Later u yrself will keep telling inside of you that he already rejected u. U will blamed yrself for telling the truth, and later u hated him for that. No matter what telling the truth is the best solution. The sparkling wil go off, if you tell yrself he hated me.

Unless you want to be with him, you tell him how you feel about him. I'm not saying spill your guts out, but show him signs you know like flirting. However, if you would like to get rid of these emotions, I would suggest that you spend time away from him and keep yourself busy with school, work, friends. Go out and have fun; you could possibly even meet someone else in the process. With time, you will forget he ever existed. Hope this works.

You just took the first step in mending the broken heart that you have for him. Take it one step at a time. you feel it every now and then, and sooner or later, you will feel it once in a blue moon. give yourself a natural healing process, and it will soon wear away. Remember, there will be one day in your life, when you will not think about him for an entire day. That will be your big break.

you cannot stop feelings. the best thing for you to do is be honest with yourself. if you have feelings for him then you need to let him know that and stop with the BS. I had a friend that did that to another friend. when they first started off they put these 'rules' into play well they kept messing around for 3 more years and then her feelings got wrapped up into him and she missed out on what could have been a good relationship.

Don't try to eliminate good feelings toward someone, just cherish the time you have with them (even in thoughts). There is a purpose in everyone that intersect your life. Realize that and enjoy everyone, looking for the reason.
