It's purely a matter of personal choice and aesthetics. I keep mine trimmed into a small landing strip, but at the nude beach that I go to in the summer you see girls and guys with everything from full bushes to totally bald and smooth. It really comes down to what you feel looks best.

Shaving the bush is quite normal. What's make it seem abnormal to some is that there are many older women who don't shave, and they believe it's abnormal for women to shave it all off. Many girls simply trim because they say shaving causes too much itching. Shaving doesn't cause much of a problem if a person shaves at least every other day. There are also hair inhibitors available that will make the bush completely disappear forever. I believe that's the trend. I believe the bush will eventually be history.

It's not the general thing in my footy team or with guys showering at the gym I go to. Unless the shaved lads are the ones going home stinking, cos they don't wanna reveal all.
Probably depends on the age group that you fall into, to determine how popular it is. I think most guys try it.
You might consider any potential partner's likes. But don't be a sheep just find what you like. Experiment if you like, it grows back - with a nasty itch!

I'd recommend using a depilatory rather than shaving, since the latter causes bad razor rash. But it is the standard now to get rid of it. It's not good looking hair, and it's much neater off. Also more nude!

I think normal is whatever you want it to be, but yes, the trend these days is to shave it all off.

well since that is not often viewed in public i would say what ever works for you.
Stubble is never cool or comfortable.
Every itchy as it starts to grow out.
