last night i was driving down an empty road, it was at about 3 in the morning, there was no one around and i was going over the speed limit, an officer pulled me over and breathalised me, i didn't have my license on me so he told me i had to produce it at the police station. I went to the police station and produced the information for the woman in there and on the slip that the officer gave me it didnt have anything about me commiting an offence he just ticked the box ' stop check' does this mean i'm going to be recieving a speeding ticket through the post or not, the officer just told me to slow down when i was leaving to go home,

No worries. You won't get a ticket. This was kind of a "warning" ticket. No cost involved.

Stop check means he was looking for drunk drivers. You weren't, so he CUT YOU A HUGE BREAK and didn't give you a ticket for speeding and driving without a license. This isn't even a warning, it's just for town records that you were pulled over. Had the officer acted inappropriately, or you comitted a crime later on in the evening, that ticket would be used as evidence to prove your whereabouts at the time of the offense.

You got a warning. If you hadn't come in with the license, you would have got the citation for that. You are home free.
