For some reason lately my face has been really dry, it looks really embarassing and skin peels off occasionally. What can I do to make my face better? Keep in mind I'm on antibiotics and am using Differin lotion.

I get the same problem in the winter. Try drinking lots of water and putting a vaporizer or humidifier in your room. Also you might want to take an Omega 3 supplement.

As far as moisturizing. I used a moisturizer for dry skin (I found the brand doesn't make much of a difference) then on days it was really bad I put a thick ointment type cream on top of that. The one that I had was Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream. Vitamin E oil also works well when applied topically.

It gets that way because of dry winter air and indoor heating. Drink lots of water, avoid caffiene and moisturize more than usual. Try not to take really hot showers and keep the heater low. If you're outside for long periods, cover up your face with scarf and sunglesses or something.

It really doesn't matter what moisturizer you use unless it's sensitive because of the anitbiotics. You should try lotion for your face only... It is also good to use toner and use put on lotion everytime it feels dry... keep a small lotion bottle in your bag or something..

Try this:
Mix sugar and olive oil to make a paste and gently rub it in before your next shower as a moisturizing scrub to remove dead skin.
Drink plenty of water and use a moisturizer with at least spf 15 and alpha hydroxy.
