My grandma freaked out but didn't press charges. Lucky me!!

You have to be 18 years old in order to be insured under your own name in any state.

You can drive at 16, but your INSURANCE would have to be under your parents (or grandma's) name. You would be added to the policy.

Let's hope granny has gotten over it or you'll be in trouble!

What does one have to do with the other? You can get your own insurance if you like, but you will be cheaper if you just get added to mom's.

Yes.. But I wouldn't count on Grandma to underwrite it.
