If you hear voices, does that mean you have schizophrenia?
Not necessarily. People can hear voices for many different reasons including bereavement, stress, as well as schizophrenia. Not all people with schizophrenia hear voices. I suggest telling these symptoms to your family doctor.

This is a wide-open question that invites wide-open responses.
Are you hearing actual voices, speaking in discernible words and sentences, or perhaps hearing sounds that, to some extent, mimic voices.
Inner ear problems are known to generate this type of response within your head. You can get this checked by a hearing specialist.
On the other end of things, it may be true in every way.
Mental communication is very far from unreal, and it does not mean you are less than normal. For example, many people, myself included, have experienced warnings that were not really heard, but somehow came into their mental focus, and, for want of an alternative sensory description, they related that input to hearing.
The first major one for me was an urgent warning telling me to turn right. This occurred as my car approached an intersection, where a car was fully stopped in the left turn lane at the traffic light. I actually thought about the turn, but the other car was stopped and was evidently waiting for me to pass before making a left turn, so I continued straight ahead..
As my car entered the intersection, the other driver jumped hard on the gas, causing his car to move into the front of my car.

This could be something as simple as an inner ear problem for which you will want to see an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor and otiologist (I think.)
Check that route first and if the doctor is not able to establish a physical problem then concern your self with the possibility of a brain chemistry issue.
Don't get too worried ahead of time.

I had the same thing happen to me after my son died-it was from post traumatic stress disorder-are you having alot of stressful things going on right now-school,relationship problems? The first thing you should do is make an appointment with a therapist for an evaluation and talk to someone who will be able to guide you to your next step-dont put it off we can all use someone to talk to and if there is something serious going on you need to nip it in the bud before the problem escalates.

Anyone could easily say Schizophrenia but my son was describing the same thing and all he was doing was his brain was racing with so much activity that he couldn't rest at night. It continued with other symptoms until he was diagnosed with mild depression.
